How is pollution affecting sea turtles?

Sea turtles have existed for more than 100 million years and are struggling to survive the constant attacks from its most dangerous predator- humans. When we throw bottles into the trash instead of the recycling you are killing an innocent sea turtle. They eat anything they find so if you let a plastic bag float into the ocean it might get stuck in a sea turtle's stomach. Use the three r's if you need help: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. Buy a re-usable bottle or bag and save an animals life.

How can you help?

You can help by asking the checkout person for no bag if you only have a few items. Try to recycle plastic bottles. And you should cut the six pack holders into pieces so animals don't choke.

What Type of Pollution is affecting sea life?

Pollution is a big problem that is affecting the ocean and the rest of the earth. Toxic wastes are poisonous materials that are being dumped into the ocean and causing animals to die slowly. In the food chain one toxic organism gets eaten by a larger animal, which gets eaten by another animal and could end up being the sea food we eat. If this ocean pollution keeps happening we wont get to swim at the beaches eat sea food because all of the animals will be dead people treat the ocean like it is a trash lot which is not a good thing to do.

How Can We Help?

We can help by using less plastic bottles and more re-usable bags. Recycle plastics and glass instead of leaving them in the street or throwing trash into the gutters. Try as hard as you can not to buy things that get into the oceans: like cleaning products with lots of chemicals. Instead you could get Trader Joe's organic cleaning products. It will save our planet more than you know.
